Isn't that like asking which kid you'd like to give away?

Seriously, way to go! It's fun to hear how tings are coming along.

I'm sure I'll catch hell for saying this, but I think Stephenie Meyer's stuff (not that I'm comparing you to Stephenie Meyer... unless you want me to :)) would have been much stronger (especially Host and the 4th installment of Twilight) if her editor had told to her to cut out the flab. She takes 700+ pages to do what could have been done (better) in 450-500. Maybe the cuts will actually make your work even stronger? But that's just me flapping my gums. :)

Cutting the flab is definitely a GOOD thing! I'm liking the trimmer version so much more already. Though, in my defense, my book started out as 87,000 words, and the original Twilight manuscript was 180,000 words so at least my book wasn't nearly so flabby to begin with. I'm down to 81,000 words as of now.

It must be exciting to have an agent's help and for your book to be getting better than it already was, because it was already really good. I'm so excited for you. I brag about your success to everyone who will listen because this is all just so exciting.
